World War II

The second world war started from 1 september 1939 to 2 September 1945.
The first world war was fought between two power blocs. The Allies and The Axis Powers
  • The Allies comprised Britain, France, Russia and U.S.A.
  • The Axis powers comprised Germany, Italy and Japan.
Atleast 60 million people were killed.
The mighty power Germany who started the war by attacking Poland was defeated and Hitler and the 11 members of Nazi party commited suicide.

During the final stage of World War II, The USA detonated two nuclear weapons over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6th and 9th  1945 namely Little boy and Fat Man respectively.
